How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°.

Step 2

Combine first 8 ingredients in a bowl. Shape into 24 meatballs.

Step 3

Arrange meatballs evenly on a jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until done. Turn oven up to 450°.

Step 4

Combine meatballs and pasta sauce in a medium saucepan. Place over low heat until sauce is warm, stirring often. Keep warm.

Step 5

Hollow out center of each hoagie roll. (Reserve soft bread for another use.) Spoon 6 meatballs into each roll. Spoon sauce evenly over meatballs. Top each sandwich with onion and 2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese.

Step 6

Arrange sandwiches evenly on a baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
