Meat Stuffing

  • 6 pound(s) Ground chuck
  • 4 pound(s) Bulk breakfast sausage
  • 5 cup(s) Long grain rice Uncooked
  • 4 cup(s) Chopped green onions
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Poultry seasoning
  • Sage


Meat mixture:

1. In a large stock pot, brown bulk breakfast sausage & ground chuck

2. Add salt, pepper, poultry seasoning & sage to taste

3. DO NOT drain excess fat


{Hint: 1 cup uncooked rice equals 3 cups cooked rice}

4. In large stock pot, bring 10 cups of water to rolling boil

5. Add salt to taste

6. Add uncooked long grain rice, stir, cover & cook for 15 minutes

7. Remove from heat & let stand for 5 minutes

8. In large stock pot, combine meat mixture, rice & green onions

9. Taste & add additional seasonings as necessary

10. Stuff turkey with meat stuffing and cook according to manufacturers directions; or place meat stuffing in aluminum roasting pan, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350 for 1 hour
