Frozen precut baking potatoes give us a jump-start with these simple Mashed Potatoes that are seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper.

  • 2 cups frozen precut baking potatoes (such as Ore Ida Steam n' Mash)
  • 2 tablespoons 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Additional pepper (optional)


  1. Place potatoes in a bowl. Microwave at HIGH 3 minutes, stirring ­after 2 minutes. Add milk, olive oil, 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, and salt; mash potatoes. Sprinkle with additional pepper, if desired.
