I mistakenly added the mascarpone to the cream at the beginning rather than at the end and it still turned out okay. Simply delicious.
This frosting uses the fluffy Mascarpone sweet cheese and mixes it with heavy cream and sugar for an irresistible layer for the Italian dessert, tiramisu.

- 2 (8-oz.) packages mascarpone cheese
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1. Stir mascarpone cheese in a large bowl just until blended.
- 2. Beat cream and vanilla at low speed with an electric mixer until foamy; increase speed to medium-high, and gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. (Do not overbeat or cream will become grainy.) Gently fold whipped cream mixture into mascarpone cheese. Use immediately.
