- 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shells
How to Make It
Combine butter, sugar, eggs, flour, buttermilk, and water in a medium mixing bowl; beat well. Stir in vanilla and lemon juice; mix well.
Pour filling evenly into pastry shells. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pies before slicing.
