Very good all purpose vinaigrette. I left out the nutmeg but I bet that would be good with apple or pear.
If you can't find walnut oil, use peanut oil or whichever vegetable oil you have on hand.
This recipe goes with Avocado-Apple Salad With Maple-Walnut Vinaigrette
Yield: Makes 1 cup
- 1/2 cup walnut oil
- 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Whisk together all ingredients. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
