This recipe has become my go-to veggie side for my increasingly picky boyfriend. I boil the carrots for 10 minutes in salted water like a previous reviewer said and I also add a bit of fresh ground nutmeg and a sprinkle of ground ginger. I really enjoy them.

These carrots were really good. I made them just as the recipe said. It's so hard to find good vegetable recipes. My father-in-law really liked them. Were quite easy to do. It took more like 20 minutes for the glaze to form and the carrots to cook adequately, though. But the maple syrup was a very nice addition. I will definitely make this dish again.

So this is how you make them! And who'da though they would be so easy? I've been looking for a recipe for sweet carrots for years now but all the recipes I came across turned out bland, mushy and the sauce was to thin. I can eat carrots now! Thanks so much, this is an EXCELLENT recipe, and just the way it is too, no changes - excellent.

I fixed these as a side dish with a pork tenderloin and my husband said, "the carrots were the star of the show". This recipe is a keeper and so easy to make!
