Mahogany Pork Sauce
My recipe uses pancetta an Italian cured bacon. Its strong flavor means that a little bit goes a long way. The combination of these ingredients provide a tasty flavor you will not soon forget. Enjoy! ~Tastefully yours, Lisa

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounce(s) Pancetta or 3 slices of American Bacon diced
- 1/2 cup(s) Onion Chopped
- 1 cup(s) Grape or Raspberry Jelly or Jam
- 1 cup(s) Ketchup
- 2 tablespoon(s) Apple Cider Vinegar
Preparation
- Sauté the pancetta/bacon and onion until the onion is tender. Drain pan drippings. Add jelly/jam, ketchup, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 20 minutes stiring occastionally. Makes 2 1/2 Cups. Use to marinate, bake, broil, or grill using this sauce to baste as you go. Also, try adding this sauce to mashed sweet potatoes. Ummm Good!
