Use one cup of sugar if you plan to serve lemonade with a simple syrup. To extract the most juice from limes, microwave them at HIGH for about 15 seconds for this delicious limeade recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated lime rind (about 2 limes)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice (about 13 limes)
  • 7 cups ice water

Preparation

  1. 1. Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in sugar and grated lime rind, stirring until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat. Stir in lime juice and ice water.
