Steamed broccoli takes an Asian twist in this tasty Lime-Soy-Sesame Broccoli side dish.
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
4 cups broccoli florets, steamed
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoons fish sauce
1 teaspoon lower-sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
How to Make It
Heat canola oil and toasted sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steamed broccoli florets; sauté 1 minute or until lightly browned. Add lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and crushed red pepper; cook 30 seconds or until liquid almost evaporates.
always looking for different ways to prepare broccoli--this was a winner! i left out the sugar. microwaved for 3 min then put in a skillet. will skip the skillet next time and just add the sauce mix to the broccoli.
