  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons coarsely chopped jalapeño pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 pounds flank steak
  • Cooking spray


  1. Combine vinegar and next 7 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; shake to combine. Add steak to bag and marinate in refrigerator at least 8 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  2. Prepare grill.
  3. Remove steak from bag; discard marinade. Place steak on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 6 to 8 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
