Lemon Sauce

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

How to Make It

  1. Whisk together sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Whisk in water. Cook, whisking constantly, over medium heat 2 minutes or until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat; add butter, whisking until butter is melted. Whisk in lemon rind and lemon juice.
