Sweet mercy, these shrimp are delicious. I made them inside (375 for about 8 minutes) and they were to-die-for. Can't wait to cook them on the grill! Pair with white rice or coconut rice for a wonderful dinner. My husband has marked it a favorite!

I am always worried about shrimp recipes because they end up being bland. This was fantastic!! I used uncooked shrimp, which I think makes a difference. I agree with other reviewers, make sure to do the brine first and rinse well. This is a keeper!

Going to go ahead and rate this five stars because the shrimp is amazing....however, the dish was WAY too salty for us. We will use less salt next time and hopefully remedy that problem. I used cilantro instead of parsley (because we LOVE cilantro) and i baked them in the oven as another reviewer suggested. 375 for 8 minutes was perfect. Served over brown rice. EASY and delish. Can't wait to try them on the grill! This would be an easy menu for entertaining because you can put the skewers all together before your guests arrive and then grill right before serving. I also marinated my shrimp for a couple of hours in the olive oil mixture after removing and rinsing from the brine. AWESOME!!

Very tasty and easy to prepare. It's a "keeper".

I added the juice from the lemon, cilantro and red pepper flakes. Rave reviews from friends. Stayed very moist BBQ'd. Will definately make again.

This was by far one of the best shrimp recipes I've ever made. I made it exactly as directed, and it was phenomenal! I was skeptical about the first step with the salt and sugar, but it's so worth it. The flavors melded well with the lemon and garlic. I served this to my parents for Mother's Day, and they both had seconds. My mom even asked for the recipe...something she almost never does! This is now my go-to recipe for shrimp!

Tasty! This will be my go-to shrimp recipe. I made it exactly as stated but I used cilantro instead of parsley and freshly ground Trader Joe's Lemon Pepper. I let it marinate (after brining and rinsing) for about 3 hours. As aj2005 suggested, I baked them at 375 for 8 minutes and served them with coconut rice - terrific! I can't wait to make them again and try some red pepper flakes or cayenne or maybe even some cumin - lotza possibilities!

I brought these to a cookout (raw, but already seasoned and prepped on skewers) and they were so easy to cook and extremely tasty! I will definately use this marinade for other dishes such as shrimp scampi, or serve them over a fresh salad.

This recipe was excellent! Very flavorful and the lemon really made the shrimp bright and full of flavor.

This was the best shrimp recipe I have made in a long time!! Will definitely make this my go to shrimp recipe. Outstanding:)

Entire family loved this! Followed recipe exactly with good results. Since these shrimp have so much flavor of their own, served with plain white rice and steamed asparagus. I like that much of the prep can be done ahead of time with only grilling at the last minute. Wanted to enjoy the Big House Pink wine with it, but it is no longer sold. Does anyone else have another rose' to recommend?

Very tasty, I would use less salt and rinse thoroughly. I would like to try cilantro next time but good as is! I can't wait to try this recipe again.

I considered giving this 3 stars solely because the saltiness of the marinade made the shrimp almost inedible--however, the flavors were so good otherwise and the recipe so easy that I didn't want to deter anyone. We will definitely make this again, using about 1/4 the salt called for. This definitely didn't take as long to make as the recipe specified--aside from the marinating time, it probably took 10 min to throw all the ingredients in the bowl and skewer the shrimp, and that was with my 2 1/2 year-old begging to "help" me.

This is by far the easiest and tastiest grilled shrimp recipe I've ever made! I too subbed cilantro for the parsley and added extra garlic. Served with Herbed Basmati Rice and Creamy Ham Casserole.

This is a very good, very simple shrimp recipe. I followed the recipe exactly, skimping on the salt just a tad...next time I will cut the salt in half (or maybe use even less than that) because they were WAY too salty. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly (with the exception of cooking them on a grill pan on my stove) - I love the flavors and will be making this many more times!

good especially with grilled peppers and mushrooms. Although be warned soak for less time with less the half the amount of SALT! the are very very very salty even after rinsing the salt mixture off. without the salt, this is a great recipe will definitely make again.

I was tempted to skip the sugar, but decided to be brave! I followed the recipe exactly. For one skewer I partially pan-fried 3 pieces of well-trimmed bacon, and threaded it between the shrimp, I did not wrap the shrimp. They were great, too. We are a salt-sensitive family, and we did not find the shrimp salty at all, though I did REALLY RINSE the shrimp. We're a seafood-crazy New Orleans family, and we are crazy for these shrimp!

Best recipe for shrimp. Never peel shrimp before cooking. Brine was perfect, rinse well. cut recipe to the amt of shrimp you are cooking.

Delicious & super easy! Was pretty salty; either cut back on salt, marinate less time or rinse better. Otherwise, it was great!

Delicious, but VERY salty! I think the sugar/salt brine at the beginning of the recipe was the culprit. Cut back and I think you'll have a great shrimp dish! Went great with the other recipes featured in that section (orzo with peppers and asparagus and arugula salad with nectarines).

I thought someone should point out the recipe calls for really gigantic shrimp (12-15 per lb), and using smaller shrimp might explain the extreme saltiness some have experienced. Smaller shrimp would require less brining time or a more dilute brine.

SUPER YUMMY!! I first grilled these 6 years ago for a family 4th of July BBQ and they were a big hit! I've been making them ever since. The secret is in the brine.. Do not skip this step! If you don't have the time better to sauté them in olive oil and white wine.

I made these as an appetizer before dinner and everyone loved them. The flavor was delicious and they were even better with fresh lemon squeezed on them when they were done. Both the adults and the kids loved this recipe. It's a keeper for sure.
