This recipe is apparently wrong in its ingredient list. Also wrong in SouthernLiving 2004 annual recipes - oily, too salty, not tangy at all. I think the proportions must be off. Should have noticed before I put it together.
This also makes a tangy dipping sauce for steamed artichokes or asparagus.
This recipe goes with Fried Okra Salad
Yield: Makes 3/4 cup
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Add oil, whisking until combined.
