  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 3 1/2 cup (32 ounce jar) thick spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups (15 ounce container) Ricotta
  • 3 cups (12 ounce shredded) Mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces lasagna


  1. -Preheat oven to 350°
  2. -Brown beef (or sausage) in 3 quart saucepan; drain excess fat
  3. -Add sauce and water; simmer about 10 minutes
  4. -In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients, except lasagna, for cheese filling
  5. -Pour about 1 cup sauce on bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan
  6. -Layer 3 pieces of uncooked lasagna over sauce
  7. -Repeat layers of lasagna, sauce, and cheese filling
  8. -Top with layer of lasagna and remaining sauce
  9. -Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 55 to 60 minutes
  10. -Remove foil; bake about 10 minutes longer
  11. -Allow to stand about 10 minutes before cutting
