Kumquat Martini
Get in the cheer with this sipping cocktail. It's a cross between a mint julep and a classic martini. Take the pressure off the hostess: Prep the ingredients separately in small bowls, and let guests muddle and shake their drinks to order.

Ingredients
- 2 kumquats, sliced
- 5 fresh mint leaves
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. Super Simple Syrup
- Crushed ice
- 1/4 cup vodka
Preparation
- 1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Press leaves and kumquat slices against bottom of shaker using a muddler or back of a wooden spoon to release flavors; add ice and vodka. Cover with lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve immediately.
