I actually have not made this recipe, and I never will. I am from NOLA, & believe me, no one from there puts tomatoes in their red beans. And the sauce should be a thick, red, creamy sauce (from smashing the beans on the side of the pot when you stir), they should not look like this picture. YUCK!

I made this for FAT TUESDAY this year and I though it was good. Although I added a few ingredients to spice it up. Like Hot sauce. It was also great as a left over the next day!

My friend made this and invited me to join her. It was very good, but it would have been excellent if she had used small red beans instead or kidney beans.

I made this recipe for my family adding twice as much pepper as called for and 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne--every one in my family RAVED about it. We had it again for lunch, and I believe it's even better the second day! This is a really good recipe--very yummy.

Good basic recipe. However, I am from Louisiana, and I would never add tomatoes to a Red Beans and rice dish. I also prefer to use small red beans, not the huge kidney bean.

Cajun Red Beans and Rice does NOT use kidney beans. This is so wrong.

There are nicer ways to critique a recipe. Rudeness (Yuck..really?) is not becoming. Pointing out what you would do differently is fine, being mean is simply uncalled for.
