1 package Regular Flavor Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained
8 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups quick-cooking grits (not instant)
2 teaspoons minced garlic
8 ounces (2 cups) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
How to Make It
Heat water and salt to a boil in a 4- to 6-quart pot over medium-high heat. Slowly add grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; stir in garlic. Cover and simmer 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove grits from heat; stir in cooked sausage and cheese. Serve hot; garnish with paprika, if desired.
