Ingredients

1 package Regular Flavor Jimmy Dean Pork Sausage
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 (12-ounce) cans evaporated milk
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon to 2 teaspoons black pepper, to taste
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (optional)
12 warm biscuits

Preparation

Cook sausage and onion in skillet over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink and onion is translucent. Stir in flour; mix well. Gradually stir in milk, water and salt; bring to a simmer and cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Add pepper and hot pepper sauce as desired; cook 2 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over split biscuits.
