Combine all ingredients and mix into a smooth dough. Place 1/3 cup dough into greased muffin tins. bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Foot note: I (Sheryl) have made it a half portion, but i still use at least 1/4 cup jalapenos.
** To substitute regular flour for self-rising, add I tsp. baking powder and ¼ tsp. salt for each 1 cup of flour. Mix together VERY well.
Alternatively, if you have only self-rising and need regular, reduce the baking powder and salt called for in the recipe that uses standard flour.
If the recipe calls for White Lily or Presto brand flour - or OTHER cake flours, use them, only.
