Combine eggs, sugar, and butter in a medium mixing bowl; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. Gradually add flour mixture to egg mixture; mix well. Stir in water, vanilla, and pecans.
Divide dough into fourths; wrap in foil, and chill at least 2 hours. Roll 1 portion to 1/8-inch thickness on a well-floured surface; keep remaining dough chilled until ready to roll.
Cut dough into 3-inch circles. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately to wire rack to cool. Repeat with remaining dough. Decorate with frosting and melted chocolate.
