But delish! I agree with the reviewer who suggests doubling the sauce, heating and keeping half of it for serving over the jasmine rice we had along side. I also suggest an Asian-style cucumber salad to help alleviate the heat. Will definitely make this again.
Made this tonight for my family. We halved the red pepper and it was just enough kick without it being too much for the kids. My son would have liked some dipping sauce so next time I'll double the marinade too and reserve half to be served on the side.
I have been making this for many years now and my whole family loves it. For my kids I omit the red chili flakes and just add them to the adults' portions when I cook it. I also make extra marinade and serve it over the finished product. Great with jasmine rice and stir-fried asian vegetables.
