Cut a 1 1/2-inch slice from top of each apple; reserve apple tops. Hollow each apple, leaving a 1/2-inch shell; chop pulp and set aside.
Combine pulp, celery, grapes, walnuts, and mayonnaise; mix well. Stuff each apple shell with about 1/3 cup apple mixture. Place apple tops over stuffed apples.
