These broiled oysters are similar to Oysters Bienville, a traditional Creole appetizer. The red-hot flavor is characteristic of many Creole dishes.

1. Preheat broiler.
2. Place oysters on a baking sheet, and set aside.
3. Place a nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Add green onions; sauté until tender. Add breadcrumbs and next 3 ingredients, stirring well.
4. Spoon breadcrumb mixture evenly over oysters. Broil 2 minutes or until golden. Serve immediately.
