    I made the recipe as directed, but when I pulled it out of the oven (fortunately I had wrapped the pan in aluminum foil!) I had butter running all over the oven, floor, and counter! I had thought it was a lot of butter with the chocolate...however, I didn't expect it to run with excess butter after baking! what a disapopointment, since I had made it as a birthday cake for my husband's boss, and now I have to go like mad and bake something else!

    I have made this cheesecake at the holidays for 15 years and everyone raves about it. I have been asked for this recipe more than any other I make. Cheesecake officianato's claim it as the best chocolate cheesecake on the planet! Cheesecakes should always be wrapped with foil so the butter from the crust does not drip on the bottom of the oven. I double the recipe for a 10 inch springform pan.
