really enjoyed this and got rave reviews from guests! i put 1/2 lb of "good" crab from the fish department and 1/2 lb of canned. i think it would have been fine (and a heck of a lot cheaper) with 1 lb of canned.

I brought this to a dinner party and everyone said it was excellent. I didn't feel that the breadcrumb topping cripsed up like it should have, so I may either add less or leave it out next time.

I made this for a graduation party. Everyone loved it and couldn't believe it was a cooking light recipe. I used can crab which worked out well -- tasty, easy and less expensive to make. I would make it again.

This was delicious. I tossed in some cooked salad shrimp and a dash of curry powder. Big hit at the birthday party. i used sturdy Scoops for dipping. This will be a keeper.

A very good dip! Didn't taste light at all, and was perfect with melba toasts and whole grain pita chips. Would be great for a holiday party appetizer. I used half lump crab and half white crab to cut costs. Tasted just as good. Step-by-step photos on my blog: http://tinyurl.com/264yysk

This was a big hit at my Golden Globes party, and I am doing it again for the Oscars. I used canned crab meat and that worked fine. I also liked a little extra hot sauce. One last suggestion is to add some grated white cheddar on top near the end!

This recipe was very easy and excellent. You couldn't even tell it was light. I added a little extra green onions and hot sauce for flavor and used all canned crab. I will definitely be making this again.

Got several compliments at a get-together with friends. I used canned crab(three 6 oz cans). Next time I think I will try fresh lumped crab for a slightly different texture. The taste is good (not bland) but I might add just a bit more green onion next time and bit more hot sauce. I found that the cooking time was a bit short and it needed to sit for a few minutes before serving to allow time to set. I will make this again.

I served this for Thanksgiving -- made this with only real crab and as the recipe states. Was really bland, so I added two seeded jalapenos and more than doubled the onion, a can of drained artichoke hearts and a bit more salt. Overall it got some compliments but I still wasn't happy with it. Needed more flavor. I"m sure some good cooks out there could figure out how to punch it up.

Sorry, but this recipe was just not for me. It could have been cause i used "fake crab" or my choice of hot sauce... but i just don't think it's worth making again. Pretty easy and cool to use cottage cheese, but still just anh.
