Hot Caramel Apple Cider

Cozy up with Hot Caramel Apple Cider, and if you want a little added warmth, don't forget the apple jack liqueur.

Yield: Serves 16

Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 4-inch cinnamon stick
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 1 orange, sliced
  • Optional: 1/2 cup apple jack liqueur
  • Garnish: 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients except topping in a slow cooker. Cover; cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours. Strain; discard spices and orange. Serve in mugs, drizzling a teaspoonful of topping into each mug.
