Cozy up with Hot Caramel Apple Cider, and if you want a little added warmth, don't forget the apple jack liqueur.
1/2 gallon apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 teaspoons cider vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 4-inch cinnamon stick
6 whole cloves
1 1 orange, sliced
Optional: 1/2 cup apple jack liqueur
Garnish: 1/3 cup caramel ice cream topping
Combine all ingredients except topping in a slow cooker. Cover; cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours. Strain; discard spices and orange. Serve in mugs, drizzling a teaspoonful of topping into each mug.
