I have made this snack mix around the winter holidays for a number of years and it never ceases to garner compliments. I use the blue box of Quaker Oat Squares and I don't skimp on either the nuts or the dried cranberries. Sometimes I've used a mixture of pecans and unsalted cashews. It helps to use the nonstick aluminum foil because the mix slides right off the pan.
