    I disagree with the other reviewer. I made this just as said, with the water too, and if you simmer it for the 5 minutes it says, UNCOVERED, it thickens up. It tasted great, my boyfriend loves honey BBQ and said that now that I found this recipe, I have to keep making it.. again and again because he loved it! Everyone else loved it at the table too. I am going to make this sauce again, and I will also try it with different meet other than chicken :)

    This is what I did and it turned out even better, I thought that it was missing something at first till I did this: use apple cider vinegar instead of water and omit the lemon, use red onion, use 3-4 cloves minced garlic, and about 3/4c brown sugar (more or less depending on how much sweeter you would like it)
