Homemade Mayonnaise

Yield Makes 1 1/3 cups


  • 1 large pasteurized egg or 1/4 cup egg substitute
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 3 dashes hot sauce
  • 1 cup vegetable oil

How to Make It

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in food processor; process 10 seconds. With processor running, slowly pour oil through food chute. Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
