Homemade Limeade

Yield 8 cups
Nothing is more refreshing on a hot summer day than an ice-cold glass of limeade.


  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons grated lime rind
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lime juice
  • 5 cups cold water
  • Garnish: lime slices

How to Make It

  1. Stir together sugar and 1/2 cup boiling water until sugar dissolves.

  2. Stir in lime rind, lime juice, and 5 cups cold water. Chill 8 hours. Garnish, if desired.
