For those who care deeply about having an organic label on your cocktails, this is the marg recipe for you. This is essentially your classic take on a cool and refreshing margarita, made with all organic goods. Rather than Cointreau or another orange liqueur, we use freshly squeezed organic orange juice paired with organic agave nectar to add a citrusy sweet touch, balancing the (organic) lime juice’s tartness. Drink up and feel good about it.
1 organic lime wedge
1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
3 tablespoons (1 1/2 oz.) organic tequila
2 tablespoons fresh organic lime juice (from 1 lime)
2 tablespoons fresh organic orange juice (from 1 orange)
1 tablespoon organic agave nectar
How to Make It
Rub rim of a glass with lime wedge, and set aside lime wedge. Lightly coat rim of glass with salt. Fill prepared glass with ice.
Combine tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave nectar in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake vigorously until chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into prepared glass; garnish with reserved lime wedge.
