- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
How to Make It
Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234°). Remove mixture from heat, and cool 5 minutes. Stir in whipping cream, mixing well. Serve sauce warm or chilled over ice cream.
