I have made this for a gathering at our home and must say it was a a big hit with everyone, including the kids. Not to sweet just right and refreshing. This is a keeper for those hot summer days.
Hibiscus Tea Punch
Accent the floral flavor of the hibiscus tea with sparkling apple cider. This cool drink fits perfectly at the family picnic or an afternoon poolside with friends.
Yield: Makes about 8 cups
- 4 cups boiling water
- 8 Red Zinger or hibiscus tea bags
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 (25.4-ounce) bottle sparkling apple cider, chilled
- Garnish: lemon wedges
- Pour 4 cups boiling water over tea bags. Cover; steep 10 minutes. Discard tea bags. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Chill until ready to serve. Stir in sparkling cider, and serve over ice. Garnish, if desired.
