Herbed Cheese Pizzas

Fantastic pizza!! We couldn't find the Kasseri cheese so we used a nice mild cheddar instead--it still tasted really great. Also mixed the herbs into the sauce, as some reviewers suggested. We will definitely make this again!! If cumin is not your favorite, you may want to cut the amount in half because the taste is distinct.

My husband and I LOVED the dough - probably the best tasting pizza crust I've made; end result was extremely good. However, I'd too recommend adding the herb mixture into the sauce...

This pizza was great. I tried to make the dough without bread flour and that was a disaster, it was too moist. It rose, but when I tried to scrape it out of the bowl I realized that my substitution didn't work. I sent the husband to get pizza dough from the grocery store and we still were able to enjoy these! I'll make them again with my usual pizza dough recipe. I loved the marinara!

This was so yummy! I changed up the herbs on top, and omitted the cumin because I don't like it. It was VERY good!

The dough for this is some of the best I've made. If I made this again I would omit the cumin.

I must admit that I am a rookie at baking, and I did not take the instructions (100-110 degrees for warm water) seriously enough. I killed the yeast on the first try and my dough did not rise. On the second try (hours later) it came out perfect. I changed up the toppings, so I can't rate the whole recipe, but I gave this five stars because the dough was excellent and the seasoned tomatoes (without the cumin) were great. I loaded it up with toppings and it didn't get soggy or anything. It takes a long time but it was worth it.

I was a little concerned about the cumin, but it was not overpowering and it gave a good "earthy" taste. Did recipe as written, except I topped with mozzarella, goat cheese, and basil. Wonderful!

I only made the dough and it was excellent!

This pizza is utterly awesome. Soft pillowy dough topped with savory tomato sauce, an amazing herb blend, and the melty cheese. Worth the effort!

I made this last night and it was very tasty! I added all spices to the tomato mixture while simmering because I don't care for raw spices. I couldn't find that particular cheese so I used sliced provolone as a substitute. Sprinkled the fresh parsley as directed at the end and we ate it all! Very good.

This took a while but totally worth it. I used fresh mozzarella instead if kasseri.
