Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant minced onion
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

  1. Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixter until creamy; add egg, beating just until mixture is blended.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, minced onion, parsley, oregano and pepper; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, ending with flour mixture. Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full.
  3. Bake at 375º for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately; cool on wire racks.
