Herb Butter

Yield Makes 1/2 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

How to Make It

  1. Process all ingredients in a food processor until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Transfer butter to center of a piece of plastic wrap; shape into 1 1/2-inch-thick log. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
