This turkey was not as Thanksgiving versatile as I had hoped. I marinated it for 18 hours (bird was too icy before that), much less than the recipe called for, and it was too soy saucy for my taste. I have had fanastic success with other grilled turkey recipes and will use them for Thanksgiving. This was still a good recipe - just didn't work with a traditional meal.

This is our favorite Thanksgiving turkey. Friends and family rave about it. I would say... don't expect "traditional" because the ingredients are obviously not... but what you can expect is the yummmiest turkey ever!!!

I have been making this recipe for my family since 2006. A family favorite recipe. I have done 6 at a time for 100 people camping. Good for Holidays or any time a great turkey can be appreciated. My tip is to add fruit and a large onion, quartered to the inside. Served pan dressing and garlic mashed potatoes and a fresh green bean salad.
