How to Make It

Step 1

Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg, beating mixture well.

Step 2

Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla.

Step 3

Pour batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool completely. Spread Quick 'n Easy Frosting on top and sides of cake.
