Combine cream cheese and cranberry sauce, stirring well. Spread a heaping teaspoon cream cheese mixture onto each bread slice. Top half of bread slices with 2 slices ham. Place remaining bread, cream cheese side down, onto ham. Cut each sandwich into 4 triangles using a sharp knife.
Have made these for years for parties, and they are always a favorite. Three suggestions: 1) coat both inner slices of bread with a small amount of softened butter to prevent sogginess; 2) don't use a heaping tsp of the cream cheese mixture on the bread, a regular tsp-ful is plenty; 3)assemble the sandwich first, then cut off crusts and cut into triangles with an electric knife if you have one...much faster.
