My favorite scone recipe so far. If you are looking for a savory scone which can be great on it's own for breakfast, then this is the way to go. I added some fresh thyme to the recipe to make it even more savory. This is a 'must make'.

Super tender and flaky! It was just perfect! I added crushed pepper flakes instead of ground one because I had those handy and also added a bit of scallions. Yum!

Great savory flavor - I recommend baking closer to 25 minutes for the best flaky outside. Loved the cheddar and ham flavor, but would decrease the red pepper or cut it out next time. Loved it with a bowl of split pea soup for dinner.

Very tasty, easy to make. I suggest adding a little more red pepper to give it a bit more zip. Served with potato soup, they make a good light lunch.

I had some Parmesan on hand and used that as well as adding chopped green onions. Delicious! So easy to prepare! Also subbed using Splenda for the small amount of sugar and was easy to use egg whites in carton. Made for breakfast one day and reheated remaining scones on low in microwave next day for dinner bread.
