Guilt-Free Margarita

Unwinding with a delicious cocktail after a long day is a great way to relax, but mixed drinks can pack some serious calories. Luckily, mixologist Anthony Caporale has created 3 guilt-free versions of cocktail classics: the margarita, the pomegranate martini and sangria. By using real fruit juice instead of sugary mixes, sugar substitutes and more flavorful liquors, Caporale has taken the extra calories out of these drinks without losing any of the flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce(s) 1 oz jalapeño tequila
  • 1/2 ounce(s) pear nectar
  • 1 whole(s) lime Juiced
  • 1 teaspoon(s) orange zest

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice, add the four ingredients. Shake until the tin is frosted. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge on glass rim.
