Guacamole With Pomegranate Seeds

Ingredients
- 4 medium avocados, peeled and mashed
- 1/4 cup plus 1/2 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
- 1 large onion, minced
- 3 small cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
- 4 to 5 drops hot sauce (optional)
- Lettuce leaves
- Pomegranate seeds (optional)
Preparation
- Combine avocados, juice, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and oil in a large bowl; mix well. Stir in hot sauce, if desired. Cover and chill thoroughly. Serve on lettuce leaves. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds, if desired. Serve with tortilla chips.
