Guacamole

This simple dip is a favorite at Mijita. Lime juice, onion, cilantro, and cumin lend the creamy avocado lots of flavor.

  • Yield: 16 servings (serving size: 2 tablespoons guacamole and about 10 chips)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 ripe peeled avocados, seeded and coarsely mashed
  • 12 ounces unsalted baked tortilla chips

Preparation

Combine first 7 ingredients, stirring well. Serve with chips.
