Grilled Sirloin Steak with Stilton Sauce

Stilton cheese stars in this delectable sauce, which provides the perfect topping for grilled steak.

  • Yield: 8 servings (serving size: 3 ounces steak and 1 tablespoon sauce)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) Stilton cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup light butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 pounds lean boneless sirloin steak (3 inches thick)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Cooking spray

Preparation

1. Prepare grill.

2. Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat until cheese melts, stirring constantly. Set aside 1/2 cup sauce; keep remaining sauce warm.

3. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Place steak on grill rack coated with cooking spray; cover and grill 18 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness, basting often with 1/2 cup sauce.

4. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices. Serve with remaining sauce.
