Grilled Sirloin Steak with Mango and Chile Salad

    Nice combination of sweet, and spicey. I used NY Strip rather than Sirloin ( it's what I had) and my husband does not like heat so substituted red bell pepper for the jalepeno. I served it with the Coconut-Ginger Rice and grilled some zucchini. This was a very easy light dinner, I will make again anad again.

    Good meal. Had to use the Foreman grill as our Trager is temp out of comission. Can't wait to try this again. I used tenderloins as I find sirloin is too chewy. I also used jar mango slices - so much easier. Served with coconut rice.

    I absolutely love this. It has such simple flavors that go so well together. I've made it a bunch of time and I usually use red and green jalepeno a for a little more spice and color. I also made it with peaches from the farmers market and mint because I was out of cilanto and it was fabulous.

    This was so easy and amazingly delicious! I also made it with the coconut-ginger rice and it was a great accompaniment. A simple, weeknight meal that makes it feel like we went out for steak. Also served with a side of broccoli to get a little green veggies in :) Enjoy!

    This is a good solid recipe but I didn't find it very exciting. Steak is good just because steak is good, same goes for mango but it's not like the flavors together blew me away or anything. Won't keep this recipe just because it's too much like something I would just throw together anyway.

    Very good summer supper. At last minute had to sub fresh pineapple for the mango (because our mango was rotten from the seed out - surprise), pineapple seemed to work fine with the chile & cilantro. Made the recommended rice, subbing coconut water for the liquids because we didn't want to open a can of coconut milk to use just ¼ cup. Served with grilled squash.

    I thought this was a great balance of flavors. I also used NY Strip, and I couldn't find red jalapeño so I just used regular. Serving this with the Coconut-Ginger Rice from the same issue is a must!
