Ingredients

  • 12 (1/2-inch-thick) French bread slices
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

1. Brush both sides of bread slices evenly with olive oil; sprinkle both sides evenly with pepper.

2. Grill bread, uncovered, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until lightly toasted and browned.
