These are a fun addition to my family's dinner table! This may sound weird, and I am usually not an odd combo kind of eater, but try dipping your sandwiches in maple syrup! It is actually quite good! While I was making these I felt compelled to try the syrup & talked myself out of it 3 or 4 times. But when it was time to actually dig in, I decided to go for it--and I liked it! I'd say the taste combination of the waffle, salty ham & syrup is similar to a good Monte Cristo served with strawberry jam--yummy.
