loved this vinagrette over the grilled asparagus! Left out the capers. Served it with a grilled salmon- great combination. will definitely make again.

My husband and I thought this was really tasty. I loved the tangy vinaigrette and I love capers. Even my 3-year old liked this - she tried to eat everybody's capers, too! I didn't have any fresh basil, so I left that out, but next time I'll plan ahead and make sure I have some on hand.

This is a simple and elegant presentation for grilled asparagus. The vinaigrette adds a ton of flavor and is very easy to make. My capers were small so I did not bother chopping. I put all ingredients in a small jar and shook to combine. I served this with Maple-Mustard Salmon (grilled on a cedar plank) and White Rice Pilaf (both recipes by CL).

My husband and I eat a lot of asparagus and this is our favorite recipe! You can't go wrong with it. I've grilled the asparagus, but this is also yummy if you cook the asparagus on the stove or in the oven. Sometimes I add the garlic to the asparagus while it's cooking. If I don't have fresh basil I'll either add dried to the vinaigrette, or add dried to the asparagus while it's cooking, or leave it out. It's good any way. I've taken it to dinner parties and it's been a hit there. I highly recommend this one!

Just made this tonight for the first time and it was fabulous! I think I will always make it this way in the future! Thanks to the reviewer that suggested that you could also do this in the oven and that you could use dried basil for the vinaigrette. Both worked out perfectly!

Very nice recipe. I took the easy way out and just drizzled a lemon infused olive oil over the grilled asparagus.
